Product Design Lead with a background in UX/UI

Mike Newman

I’m a pragmatic, outcome-driven designer with deep experience leading end-to-end design across government, enterprise, and commercial business. I combine design thinking with a product mindset—focused on solving real problems and delivering meaningful outcomes.


With a background in user research, co-design, prototyping, and UI delivery, I’ve led work that spans complex systems, customer-facing platforms, and internal tools. I’m also a firm believer in Lean, collaborative ways of working, and sharing the process openly to build trust.


With a strong foundation in design, I’ve built deep working knowledge of agile product teams—routinely collaborating with Product Owners to shape backlog priorities, plan roadmaps, and align features to business and user goals. 


My experience has increasingly extended into strategy and delivery, supported by a SAFe® 6 certification and hands-on involvement in team planning, prioritisation, and decision-making.
